Polio Vaccination

As has been reported in the press, the virus that causes polio has been detected in a number of sewage samples in London and the situation is being monitored by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

We have been receiving increased contacts from parents who are concerned about their child’s vaccination status.

We can confirm that all of the children that we vaccinate do receive polio in their child immunisation schedule. 

We will be monitoring updates/guidance and will keep you informed if any further action is needed. In the meantime, if you are able to, please consult your child’s personal child health record (PCHR) or ‘red book’ in the first instance
