Yaxley GP Surgery responds to feedback from patient surveys 2026
Thanks for taking part!
We’d like to thank the patients who completed our recent survey with over 1,100 people taking the time to respond. We have also looked at the results from this year’s national GP Survey which had similar questions and 113 responses.
We have seen an increase of nearly 60% in Anima cases, from 40,270 (in June 2024 to 2025) to 63,810 (June 2025 to 2026). In the same 12 months we also maintained our appointment levels, delivering 221,848 appointments in the year to June 2026.
Our patient survey (which took place in April and May) showed
- 82% of respondents rated us as good or very good
- 61% said they would recommend our practice
We achieved positive net promoter scores in six key areas including patients being happy with their appointment, satisfied with our staff and able to access the practice. There was a five-point increase in those satisfied with the advice given.
Our survey also had a ‘free text’ box so patients could give more details about what is working well and areas we need to concentrate on. Patients appreciated the service they have, have confidence in the quality of care and said that staff are caring, kind and professional.
In the GP Patient Survey
- We exceeded National and ICS measures in 10 out of 13 categories.
- 97% of patients had confidence and trust in the health professional they saw or spoke to
- 96% was involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment
- 87% of patients had a good overall experience of this practice (equalling last year’s score).
As a result of feedback from the surveys we plan to focus on
- Continuing to work on capacity within our reception team
- Working with the Anima developers
- Increasing continuity of care so patients with complex conditions see the same GP where possible
- Seeing how we can improve communication around callbacks, messaging, test result and updates
Lead GP, Dr Stephanie Betts-Masters said: ‘Both the Lakeside and National GP Surveys gave us valuable feedback and statistics so thank you to everyone who took part. We strive to work to a very high standard and the surveys show that we have managed to maintain a very high and valued level of service while dramatically increasing the number of cases that we receive through Anima.
‘I’d like to thank the team for their hard work and dedication. We were delighted to see the results from these surveys. While there are always areas for development the very positive patient feedback we receive shows that patients appreciate the work of our practice, clinicians and entire team. We will all continue to make improvements and refinements where we can.’
