Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Engagement Event
Have you been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease or an associated illness?
Did you have access to the right information and support to manage your condition?
Together with the Adopting Innovation Hub, Thorpe Road Surgery would like to invite individuals with lived experience of cardiovascular disease and/or associated conditions to take part in a 2hr event to help us improve health outcomes and benefits for patients living with CVD.
- Please read the following information carefully and feel free to discuss it with anyone else if you wish.
- Please do ask a member of the innovation hub team if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information.
What is the purpose of this event?
The Innovation Hub wishes to gather information from individuals that have been diagnosed with and are managing cardiovascular and associated conditions such as:
- Coronary Heart/Artery Disease
- Aortic Disease
- Congenital Heart Disease
- Hypertension
- High Blood Pressure
- Stroke
Our aim is to understand your experience from the point of diagnosis through to post-operative procedures, treatments, and final discharge and present you with themes of innovation that focus on CVD patient pathways and condition management. We would like to gather your thoughts on the benefits of these to help inform the direction of our work in selecting the best innovations that target positive health outcomes for CVD patients.
What are we going to ask you?
We will ask a series of questions based on the journey of your lived experience, and how you manage your condition, the services and support you received, and your knowledge and experience of condition monitoring, management, and educational tools such as online or digital apps and devices. We will present themes of innovation to you and seek your opinions on these and what you feel should be a priority for us. We shall not ask for information relating to your personal medical history or ask you to share any personally identifiable information during the session. All data and information will be anonymised, and questions will be structured to protect your personal and medical information.
What will we do once we have this information?
We aim to gather enough information to help us understand barriers and challenges to CVD condition management and which themes of innovations patients feel would be most beneficial in making a difference to the way they manage their condition. From this information gathering, we will then introduce a second phase of innovation selection where we will work with patient and citizen groups to choose which CVD specific innovative solutions we focus on for adoption across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
In return for your time and involvement you will receive a £25.00 gift card/voucher
